I do only have the trial of AS2 at the moment so not sure if this is available in the full version, but is there a way to change the colours of the design areas... i.e. toolbars, layers, triggers, timeline? It's all a bit blindingly white which I am finding to be quite bad for eye strain, even with brightness on my laptop turned down.
Possibly a stupid question but thought it was worth the ask and the risk of looking a tad stupid!
Oh man, I came on here searching for a solution to the same problem. I'm having a really hard time working in Storyline 2's new timeline, the colours are too similar and I'm finding it nearly impossible to line everything up well without squinting and moving very close my monitors. Brutal that they chose white, light grey and light blue!
Sorry that this is causing you difficulty as well, and it's something I know others have shared with our team in the form of feature requests so you're welcome to share your thoughts as well here.

Hi Stuart,
Unfortunately you cant change the UI. I've logged a feature request for the same thing.
Thanks for the reply Chris - It's a shame that's not an option but at least it's not just me. Will see what results I get with Assistive Software
Totaly agree! far too white and lack of contrast in dialogs.
I will enter a feature request too.
