I tested to see if this is possible, and unfortunately, I saw the same result you did (where even with more than 1 slide highlighted, dragging the time on the timeline only applied to the slide that I happened to be on). You are welcome to submit a feature request.
I have the same issue, when migrating our SL1 files to SL2 - the timeline goes out to 54 secs or 72 secs on all slides and on some layers we have a trigger to 'hide layer when timeline ends' so our users are falling off the perch while waiting. I submitted a feature request to be able to set a default duration using a dropdown selector maybe with half a dozen options on it and then a custom option where you can set it to longer if needed... go the feature request! Currently wasting a lot of time editing slides on upgrade.
Does anyone know if this has been added as a feature? I'm using 360 and getting feedback that a lot of my slides are finishing too quickly and I'd like to set a minimum timeline time on most slides if I can...
You can adjust the timeline on a slide-by-slide basis by clicking and dragging the end of the timeline to the right.
Also, are your slides set to advance automatically? If so, you could select multiple slides in Story View and change the 'Slide advances' setting to By User.

Hi Brett!
I'm not aware of a way to do so nor can I recollect a thread to assist you with this. You are welcome to submit a feature request for this.
Hopefully someone in the community will be able to assist you.

Thanks!
