Character Background Not Transparent

Jan 10, 2014

Hello,

I'm having some issues using the standard Storyline Characters.

In the slide view, everything looks OK, but when I preview or publish, my Character has a whte background (See Attached Image).  Even stranger yet, it's happining speraticly.  One of the Characters I've inserted only has two small blocks of non-transparent background.  Others are fine.   Any suggestions?

 Thank you,

Debbie

Hi Debbie,

If elements of your slide are changing randomly, I'd check into the following first:

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive).Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.
  • Ensure that your DPI is set to 96.

Also, if it's just this one file, you may be able to solve any of the issues caused by the above by importing it into a new Storyline file.

Let us know how it goes after checking the above.
