We have a requirement to capture the character count of the typed characters in a data entry field and display the count, as well as limit the count to 40. Pls see the attached image for what is required.

From the Forum I gathered that it can be done only using Java Script and I have no knowledge of JS.
My mistake, I meant to say the essay question. Here's a quick recording to show what to do. You can set a character limit, but there's no character counting option.

Yes, you can set a character limit on text entry if you use the survey essay question and set a character limit.
