Choosing your character state won't work - help please

your states for emt on slides 1.5 and 1.6 are both male

Wendy,

This is the interesting part.  I have changed that character to a girl, NUMEROUS TIMES.  I save. Then when open the module up again it is back to two boys.  It is like it will not save the female state.  I have deleted the female state, then made a new state with the female, and it continues to have this problem.  When I published this, I doubled checked the slide and it had a male and female. But as you can see, reopening reverts it back to two males. Thoughts?

Hi Tamarah

I wouldn't use the normal state in my triggers...I would create a Male and a Female state and use those.  So in effect you would have three states Normal, Male and Female but the normal is not used.

Here is a big shout out. I have continued to have the same problem.  The states of the characters seem to be tied together. I created the male and female states along with the normal as suggested.  I have deleted the character and restarted from scratch. Making new characters and new triggers. This didn't seem to change the outcome. Any thoughts anyone??

If Russell's new file copy doesn't work for you, can you share a copy of the updated file you're working with?  You can upload it using the "add attachment" button at the bottom of the reply window. 

Also can you confirm that you're working on the latest update of Storyline (Storyline 2 Update 11) and that you're saving and working on files locally?

THANKS SO MUCH for the help.  I didn't think of doing it that way.  I think I had tried every other way.  That worked perfectly.  I will put into the project and finish it up. THANKS AGAIN.
