I need some help with adding audio files. In the "Try me" section, I want a click sound when the user clicks the hotspot, and an error sound when the user clicks outside the hotspot.
Easy enough, and I was able to do that. However, when the user clicks outside the area, the Hint Caption appears, but the sound will not play the first click. It plays on the 2nd click and thereafter, but I want it as soon as they click outside.
I have tried enabling the "play when media completes" option, but no luck.
I downloaded your file and when I clicked anywhere but the wrench I get a sound and then the hint caption displays. I have replayed it 3 times in preview mode. It is an issue when you publish or preview or both?

It is in preview mode AND when I publish. It does play, but only after clicking outside once.
So, the first error click is silent, and then I can hear it on the 2nd and 3rd click.
I previewed and published the .story file and it works fine for me

Interesting. Sounds like I might be having one of those odd hardware/software issues.
Looks like I should try it on a different computer and/or browser.

Maybe just create a new project file and import the slides in see if that works.
You are working locally and not from a USB or network drive as that sometimes causes erratic behaviour
Ok, so I tried this .story file with my computer (Preview & Published) and then verified with a colleague's computer.
The first 2 slides still do not play the Selection (click) sound. (I have removed the files and re-imported, but with success).
Why won't the click-to-select audio play on the first 2 slides?

think I have fixed it - it was a trigger on slides 1 and 2
The one for the jump to next slide you had it on the hotspot and not on the screen recording action like you did for slides 3,4,5
