Clicking back in to a completed course

Is there a setting when publishing to stop the following from happening?  (Storyline 1 and 2).

We have a number of courses running from an LMS (Kallidus) When the learner completes a course and exits the results are updated to complete as expected.  However if at any point thereafter they re enter the course and immediatley leave  they enter at the page they originally left but the LMS reports the course as complete again from that day even if they only entered the one page.

Example:

Learner passes course and leaves on last page (certificate) results go to LMS and sate pass.  Learner later (same day or months later) clicks on the LMS link to access the course.  Learner sees the page they originally left on.  Learner closes course.  LMS states they completed the course on that day!!
