When I copy an item to the clipboard, then CTRL+drag and item. The clipboard is overwritten with the item that was dragged to copy. This is not modern behavior for applications. The dragged item should simply copy and not overwrite the item in the clipboard.
I am requesting this behavior be updated to current programming practices. Similar to the way Captivate performs this operation correctly.
Items are duplicated when holding Control and dragging the item. This also copies the item to the clipboard. We've added this approach as a way to quickly duplicate objects without using as many mouse clicks.
The item should not be copied to the clipboard. The correct behavior is to leave the clipboard untouched. If the user wants an item on the clipboard they will perform the copy/cut action manually.

Below is an example of correct behavior in a Word document.
