I'm not sure where to go to make a formal recommendation/request for future updates to Storyline but...It's really frustrating that the clipboard gets cleared when you insert a slide or slide layer.
Many times I have copied objects to my clipboard and inserted a new slide or slide layer intending to paste those objects onto it only to find out that my clipboard has been cleared once I insert the slide or slide layer. It's the same if you do either insert or duplicate slides or layers.
Isn't that part of the beauty of "duplicate," that it doesn't use your clipboard?
If it is the case that Storyline uses your clipboard to duplicate slides and slide layers then that's different functionality than the Microsoft PowerPoint product that it's modeled after.
I spoke to the developers about this and it is a copy and paste and clears the clipboard, it has caught me out, a few times until I asked why. I think it looks like Powerpoint for familiarity it is not meant to have feature parity, and is a different product.

I would prefer it not to use the clipboard though
