I have created a slide with a layer in Storyline that gives additional information about related courses. The user will have the option to click to go to the new course or stay in the current course. If the user clicks to go into the new course, I would like the browser window with the current course to close.
I have tried using the Exit course trigger on the Yes, View Now button outside of the LMS, but the window doesn't close.
There isn't a trigger option within Storyline to close the existing window and allow a new window to open. The options would be limited to just opening the course in the existing window or opening it in a new window, while leaving the other one open.
If the community has been able to determine anything else more customized I hope they're able to share that with you here.
I got it!!!!! Since I was using a button to open the new window, I set the Jump to URL/File first and then used the Exit Course when the state of the button is Visit. It works perfectly from my LMS (Cornerstone).

Hello Sherri,
This may be something you need to set up within your LMS.
I also wanted to share this article with a few reasons why the Exit Course trigger may not work in your published output.

Thanks for the update Sheri!
