Hello, I am new to Storyline. I want a close button to appear after the learner clicks two different buttons on a layer. Can someone tell me how to do this?
you could set up the initial state of the button as hidden then create a variable who change when the user clicks the other buttons on the layer and a trigger to change the state of the first button to normal when the variable is equal to whatever value you have set up for it to reach

No worries, Stefano. Thanks for the help!
Another option is to use the Visited state of the two buttons to change the state of the Close button. See attached a quick example.
