Closed Captioning for Storyline 360 from a Transcript in Word

Jan 06, 2021

I have several audio files that require closed captioning. I have the transcripts for these audio files in Word documents. Is there a way to automatically create the CC from the Word doc, the way CC is automatically generated if you use Text-to-Voice in Storyline 360?

Hi Cynthia,

Thanks for reaching out! Storyline only supports SRT, VTT, SBV, and SUB files generated by third-party captioning services, such as YouTube, Amara, and 3PlayMedia.

One tip I recommend is using the Text-to-Speech option to generate captions automatically.

Then, you can use the option to Replace Audio. That way, the captions are already set, and only minor adjustments are needed.

I hope this helps!
