Closed Captions for only one slide
Mar 30, 2022
Hi there, hope sby has a simple solution for me....
I am working on a course in Storyline 360. This yourse has a large number of slides - but so far only on one slide I am using text-to speech and closed captions.
If I want to enable my learners to see the related buttons to adjust volume or switch on/off CC I can do that in the player settings. But then ALL other slides have the same setting, unless I touch every single slide and switch it off manually. Therefore my idea is to have generic setting without these commands, but have them enabled for that one single slide.
How can I do that?
My idea is to play around maybe with a Java Script command, which switches on the Closed Captions for this single slide. But I am not familiar with Java.
Has anybody an idea or a solution?
Thanks in advance

Hello Bernhard,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing what you would like to create with your project file.
The closed captioning button is only visible when captions are available on the current slide or layer. It’ll disappear for slides and layers that don’t have captions.
Please let me know if you need any additional help.
