cmi.suspend_data element error

Jun 25, 2014

Hi everybody,

I'm working with a private LMS of one company and I'm getting several error messages with several Storyline courses that say something like

"The value (XXXXXXX...) is not a valid value for the cmi.suspend_data element. The data was not updated. More information: Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: value."

I have addressed the issue to Support of this private LMS, and they have told that it may be caused because both the LMS and the Storyline course are executing the escape() function. And that collapses the course.

I know it looks like the problem it's on the LMS side (SCORM Cloud doesn't show any error), but either way I wanted to ask if anybody is acquainted with anything similar or know a possible solution. Anything would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Solved. I'm posting the solution in case it helps anybody. I actually found the solution here: http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline/exceeding-scorm-suspend-data-limits

After trying several things, what worked for me was to disable the resume feature. It is not an ideal solution, but at least I cant watch the whole course now
