coding to skip certain types of pages - possible?
May 14, 2013
At present time the animation tools in SL fall far behind what you can do in Flash - tweening, movieClips, etc. In order to maintain a certain quality of deliverables to our clients in our post-flash world, we are wondering if there might be a way to serve up certain pages that contain imported swf animations to screen viewers, and a substituted, simpler page to iPad users within the same project.
In theory, a query of viewport status would be passed to those screens in question, and the correct page would be displayed - the page with the swf for screen, and the page with SL animation for iPad. Any thoughts or solutions come to mind?
Thanks.

Richard,
If I need animations, I create them in PowerPoint 2010, save to a Windows Video file, and import into SL.
Not perfect, and you may have to rework the ways that courses work slightly, however, it is completely seamless and has worked perfectly for me on several occasions.
