I chose the option Auto collapse menu as user progresses in the player menu. Initally it worked fine until I added a scene that contained a question bank. Now the menu will no longer collapse after the scene is complete and the user goes onto the next scene.
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this problem! Can you perhaps share your .story file with me, so I can take a look at it and try to help you resolve the issue? =)
I found either the cause or a work-around (not sure which). Scene 1 was linking into scene 2 which only contained a quiz from a question bank draw. I added a slide to scene 2 just before the quiz and now scene 1 collapses. Made the same change throughout the project and now it runs as expected.
I see that Cleo reviewed your files and shared the following:
We were able to duplicate the menu auto-collapse not working if a quiz result is placed last in the scene. Unfortunately, we were unable to determine a workaround. We have reported this issue to our Quality Assurance team for their review. I cannot offer a time frame for when or if this issue will be addressed. I would recommend, at this time, to take a different approach like adding additional slides after the result slide.
Result Slides are designed/coded to pull/gather the scores from specified quizzes or question banks. A regular slide does not have this feature that is why a regular slide cannot display quiz scores even if you use the codes of the quiz results in it.
In a published Storyline file, the menu is set to auto-collapse. I moved 4 short scenes into the first scene on the menu using the arrow keys as they are a branched options form Scene 1. The auto collapse works fine for scene 1, but doesn't collapse for the other 4 scenes (each only has 3 slides, then go beck to the branching slide in scene 1)
Why would this happen? There are some hidden slides (lightbox mainly) but those are all in Scene 1 which is collapsing ok.
Looked through the community and I don't see a clear answer.

Hi Amy! Glad you were able to resolve the problem! =) Let us know if you run into any other issues, we are always happy to help!
Hi
I have the same issue, but it doesn't appear to be caused by slides around the quiz.
What else should I look at to resolve this one?
Many thanks
Kate
Hi Kate and welcome to Heroes!
Do you have any of your slides hidden in the menu? There is a known issue where auto collapse won't work as expected when there is a hidden slide within the menu. If that doesn't solve your auto collapse, would you be able to share your .story file here with us so that we can take a look? If you're unable to share in the forums and would like to share with us privately you're welcome to do so here.
Hi
Thanks, I have shared the file privately and be interested to get your feedback!
Cheers
Kate

By default, Storyline will not display result slides in the menu when previewing or publishing. Please review the following article for more information:

Hi Sue,
I'm not following how you've set up your menu to include these branched slides within the first scene. Can you share your Storyline file here with us?
