Color thems are misbehaving - questions are posted in white text

Oct 03, 2018

Hi, I have created a new theme with custom colors and font.

My choice for Text/Background is Dark, so that it should write with our blue color #18274a.

I have modified my master slides to use the #18274a color in both placeholder boxes.

But when I create a new graded slide, the question is entered with white. Why?

See pictures: First is from my master slide 'Question'

Second is from the actual project where I have inserted a Graded Question slide, which uses the Question layout:

Hi there Soren,

I have to say, this has me stumped! It appears that your color theme is set up correctly, but for some reason, question text appears in a very light gray color. So far, I haven't spotted any reason why this could be happening. 🤔

I'd like to share this with our Support Engineers to see if they have any additional insight. They'll review your file and email you soon!

Hey Kimberly,

I am sorry to hear that you are having the same experience. A quick note, I am not too sure if Soren is still subscribed to this thread, however, you can always reach out to him directly by using the Contact Me button on his profile.

I reviewed the case and in this instance, it was the Parent Master Slide properties that were causing the new slides to have the same layout/theme. After the Parent Master Slide was adjusted, any new slides created would apply that theme. We have a great resource on this that I think might help: Storyline 360: Using Slide Masters

Please let me know how it all works out!
