Communicating from Storyline to WebObject content

I am having some issues with a web object that I have inserted onto a Storyline slide.

The web object points to some web code (html/javascript) that I have generated using Unity3D.

It works but I have 2 problems:

1) at runtime when I come to the slide that has the web object, it takes about 60 seconds to load the web object.
I'm thinking that's longer than it needs to be.

2) I cannot find a way to communicate from Storyline to the web code. For example, when I click on a shape (in
Storyline), I want the trigger's javascript code to call a public function that is in the web code. Currently
nothing happens.

Any suggestions?

Hi Tim,

I can't assist with the Javascript element, although you may want to begin by reviewing the general Javascript best practices here.  As for the web object loading time, have you looked at the loading time of the item outside of Storyline? Have you tested it in different browsers or with different internet connections to see if there is a varied behavior? I don't think Storyline would be causing it to load slower than normal.
