Did you confirm that you're publishing it as a .doc file and to a local location? Also, what update of Storyline are you using - we're currently on Update 10 of Storyline 2. Does Word open normally for you otherwise? Did you confirm that Word was closed when trying to publish Storyline?
Yes i have saved it in a local location. I have also updated my storyline2 . Word does not open normally because it will be as .DOC and you will have to open it later. and YES word was closed when trying to publish storyline. The only significant change that I did was really we upgraded our Office to 2016. It worked well before that....
What did you mean by "Word does not open normally because it will be as .DOC"? When you open a standard Word file that doesn't have anything to do with Storyline what file extension are you seeing? Are you only seeing it as a .DOCX file? When you look at publishing Storyline to Word did you see if it was setting the file extension in a particular way to .DOC or .DOCX? Does your course include slide notes? You may want to take a look at the steps here as well.
Thanks Valeria - I'm still unclear on your original statement about Word docs in general. Did you take a look at those steps I previously shared? Our team has been able to publish with Word 2016, so if you're still having difficulty can I ask you to work one on one with our Support Engineers here?
Our last resort was to reinstall both Articulate and Office 2016 and it magically worked now. I can publish it to WORD and its okay now. I don't know why there was a glitch. thank you for your response and support Ashley.
Thanks Valerie for the update and I'm glad to hear the reinstallation of both worked. It's hard to say what caused the glitch but it could have been something associated with the update of either and the installation not finishing as expected.
