I want to give learners the opportunity to retake the test at the end of their storyline course even if they pass it, as the course is a test prep training. I have storyline (v1) set for completion based on passing the test (on the results slide). How can I let them retake the test if they pass without sending a message to the LMS that their score has been reset to zero, but also make sure storyline doesn't add up both test results for some weird "you scored 180% " message.
I currently have a 'reset results' trigger on a custom retake test button that takes them to the opening page of the test section.
Just the clarify the above posting. Right now if the learner passes the test and leaves the course they are correctly marked in the LMS as completed . However, if on the results page they pass the test and click to retake the test without leaving the course, and then don't complete or don't pass the test the second time around they are not marked as complete.
Most LMS's will consider the course to be in review mode once the user reaches the completion requirement, but if you're allowing the user to retake the test and therefore reset their results it may be resetting it in the LMS as well. Have you reached out to your LMS team to see if they had any thoughts in regards to locking the completion status - but then allowing the user to revisit those sections without changing their score?
Thanks Ashley, and sorry for the slow response. The client ended up deciding to change the compleiton criteria to completed slides so this issue went away. But If this comes up again I now know I can't do anything at the SL level and need to address it at the LMS level.
