I am launching some modules that are only short videos. I want it to show as complete if they have viewed 80% of the video. In the past, we have used the trigger to submit results when timeline reached X amount of seconds. This has caused problems because it doesn't work if they skip ahead, they can still complete the course without actually watching 80% of the video.
Thanks for reaching out! If the video is inserted as an MP4, you can disable the video controls and the seekbar so the learner cannot skip ahead in the video. If the video is inserted as a Web Object, you could insert a transparent shape on top of the video so the learner cannot click on the video controls. Will this work for what you're looking to do?
Hi Alyssa! Thank you so much for reaching out. Okay - those are great ideas. Is there anyway that you can do it you think without disabling the seek bar? I am thinking not by the sounds of it.
Yes, you can make the seekbar 'Read Only' to prevent learners from scrubbing back and forth along the timeline. I should have mentioned that as an option in my first response. :)
