Completion slide doesn't work

Mar 26, 2013

Hi there,

I have several storyline projects going into Moodle. Half of them (roughly) correctly report completion via a Pick One slide and Results slide I've set up for the purpose but the other half don't. I've checked, double-checked and triple-checked that i've set up the Pick One and Results slides correctly in all projects, comparing those which are reporting completion with those which aren't and making sure they're set up the same, but still half of them don't report completion.

Can anybody explain what might be happening here? I'm publishing all projects the same and configuring them the same in Moodle.

Is there some sort of global setting in a Storyline project which might be preventing the submission of the interaction? When I click the button on the Pick One slide, it moves to the Results slide without a problem, but the completion isn't being recorded/reported. I can see this both in Moodle tracking and using the Developer Console in Firefox.

All help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ewan

Hi Ewan,

Have you tested one of the courses that isn't reporting properly in SCORM Cloud? It may help us determine if the issue is Articulate related or if it's on your LMS's side.

If it appears in SCORM Cloud as well, we'd be happy to take a closer look at what might be going on. You'll be able to attach the .STORY file on the second page of the following form:

Articulate Support - Submit a Support Case

Please be sure to include a description of your issue. Please also include the URL for this thread in the form. Also, please share the case number with me. You're welcome to do so here, or in a private message. This way I can follow the progress of the case and update this thread.

If you can't replicate the issue in SCORM Cloud, it's probably an issue that you'd want to take to your LMS team. The articles here and here may also help clear up common LMS issues.

Thanks!
