CompressLengthMisMatch

I have a slide with six layers. I made several changes and then attempted to save my project. I received a message telling me that the "project file could not be saved - CompressLengthMisMatch". I have no idea what this means and I cannot save the file at all not even with a different name so all of my changes may be lost if this cannot be remedied.
Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hello Lori,
I want to confirm that you are working locally with your file as described here. Also, I want to confirm that you are using the latest update for Storyline, as some issues with saving were addressed. You may also wan to look at the steps here. If you continue to see this, I would encourage you to reach out to the support team for assistance.
I'm having the same issue. I'm definitely working locally and have the latest update. Have we found an answer to this yet?
Hi Dominic,
I do not see where Lori had submitted a case. You may want to start by following the steps here.
Hi Emily,
So sorry to be just now replying. I was able to past the issue by opening a new project and importing my entire course. I've found I've had to do this for other error messages as well, such as the Corrupted Data message.
Thanks Lori for the update, and importing into a new course is always a good solution in regards to odd behavior or corruption of files.
I just had a CompressLengthMismatch message using Storyline 2 and was able to recover my project by importing it into a new project.
Happy to hear the import worked Sharon, and you may also want to ensure you're working on slides as detailed here.
Hi
I just started experiencing this problem today. The projects cannot be saved and the COMPRESS LENGHTH MISATCH ERROR pops up. Please help!
Hey Iman!
Sorry you're hitting this too. Have you tried importing your slides into a new file? It looks like that did the trick for Sharon.
Let me know how it goes!
I did the same thing...imported into a new file. It worked!
Glad that this older conversation was able to help you out here Kim.
I appreciate you popping in to share and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
