Is there a way to set a Condition in the Trigger Wizard when advancing to the NEXT slide, that prevents the advance until all animations on the slide complete? In other words, I have several captions that appear in a sequence which I set on the Timeline bar, but I don't want the user to be able to click NEXT until the the timeline is finishied.
You could use a variable that is set to false when the timeline starts and set to true when the timeline ends. The next button only jumps to the next slide when the variable is true. And you can reuse this variable for each slide.
You could adjust the jump to next slide trigger so that it can't happen until the timeline for that last object on your slide has ended:
In this screenshot, the last object on my slide is a character who's been animated and is "talking" on the screen.
Or, you could put a shape offstage, position it at the end of the time, and adjust your jump to next slide trigger for when that shape's timeline ends (or starts for that matter).

Hi Kimberley,

Any questions, be sure to shout them out.
Thanks all for your suggestions!
Funny, I was having the same issue 7 years later in a much later version, and it still worked! Thanks so much Michael Hinze!
