Confused with states

Hi There,
I'm still trying to get my head around Storyline 360. I am trying to create a box where it says "Click here" and then information is displayed once clicked.
I've set it up the only way I know how except that when you click on the box, the text from the 'normal' state is still sitting over the top of the 'selected' text. How do I hide the normal state text when someone has clicked on the box?

Hi Tash
Hard to say without seeing the slide but here is a quick peek video how I would do it and my source file is attached. So when I create the selected state I delete the normal state text and add the next text.
Hope this helps
Thank you Wendy. I have no idea what I did. I may have duplicated the normal state which had confused it or something. I deleted the boxes and started again which seems to have worked.
Thank you for your help!!
No worries Tash as long as you're all sorted. Just a note, when you reply via email, your email signature details attach to the forum post. If you want to, you can edit to remove them.
