Considering using Moodle as my LMS

I recently installed Moodle 2.7 to use with Storyline 2 files. We are just getting started with formal eLearning offerings as well so I thought starting with Moodle (Can't beat the price) would be a good option. If it doesn't work out, we can look for other options.

First, there was plenty of help within the Moodle community to help me when I hit some snags installing it. It wasn't that bad actually.

Now I've been busy configuring Moodle so it is simple and easy for our users, as basic as possible, at least at the start.  I've loaded 3 Storyline courses for testing so far and they seem to run normally, just like testing on the tempshare or previewing.  The issue is getting Moodle to display them the way you want.

One issue I came across so far is a document added to the Resources throws a 404 but I found a reference that the file names shouldn't have spaces. I'm trying a different file without spaces in another course so I can reload and see if that is the issue.

However, the SCORM package within Moodle seems to be displaying the Storyline courses correctly, in general. The grades are tracked though I did update the Identifier when publishing the Course for an LMS  (click the REPORTING AND TRACKING... button, set the "LMS Lesson SCORM Information" "Identifier" field) to match the SCORM Package "Common Module Settings" "ID number" field in Moodle.

A little plug for Moodle. I have used Engage within our Moodle for years. You'll find the Moodle community as helpful as this one, full of passionate educators with a willingness to assist and push the platform forward.

We use Moodle with Articulate Storyline 2 and it works very well.  The only feedback I would consider is when looking at SCORM "interactions report" it really doesn't tell you much because of the pprogramming it displays.
