Content different in html5 format.

Sep 19, 2016

Hi!

I have some problem with a course that i am creating and publishing in html5 format. When previewing inside storyline 2 everything looks fine but when i publish and look at the html5 file it gets a weird cut across the whole left side. It feels like it tries to fill up for lost space? Any ideas why and how to fix?

I've tried with several different broswers including google chrome and get problem in all of them.

I attached the .story file here.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Gustav!

I was able to see the issue you described on the HTML5 output of your course.

I was able to notice that when I view the HTML5 output on other browsers like IE and Firefox on a PC, Mobile Safari on an iPad and on a Mac, then the vertical line does not appear.

When I tested your file, I found that one of your recordings do not have the issue in HTML5.  Did you do anything different on the problematic recording compared to the other one that does not have the issue?

Just double checking, can you please check if you have the supported DPI setting in Windows?

I recommend that you File a case with us and reference this forum link so that we can dig a little deeper on your issue.  Hope this helps.

Hi!

Thanks for the quick reply.  The line may not appear in IE and Firefox but instead a small flash comes when jumping between slides.

We didn't do anything different while recording this course.

I've checked the dpi settings and they were set as your supported settings.

I will file a case, thank you so far!
