In my job I often send short videos to staff explaining how to perform certain tasks (e.g. formatting Mail Merge fields in Word). I was thinking that it would be nice to organize all of these videos so that other staff could view them. Most of the videos are surrounding the use of Microsoft Office. Has anyone out there ever used Storyline (1 or 2) as the front-end for access to this video library? If so, could you share your experience.
If you already have the videos, you could create a library screen as your opening slide, then import each video to their own slide/scene. Users could select a video from your library and automatically watch the video. Once your video has finished, you could direct users back to the library screen so they can select another video or exit as they wish.
I hope this is what you were looking for and it helps.

Hello Paul,
Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but you could utilize the screen record feature in Storyline to capture videos of these tasks.
You could then publish and share these through a web server, or through a local source by publishing to CD.

Emily,
Thanks. I was thinking more along the lines of how to present them using the Storyline front-end.
Chris,
Thanks. So, are you talking about a bookshelf sort of look?
Hi Paul
You could use a bookshelf or perhaps dvds would be more relevant to the subject.
Alternatively, you could show a screenshot of the video.
I'm sure I remember seeing a bookshelf asset on the downloads section here previously, so it's worth taking a look there.
Good luck with it all
I have just searched for bookshelf on this site and there are many templates and backgrounds to choose from.
Here is an example that looks like the Ipad bookshelf
