Continue Button Appearing Before all Visited States have been visited

Aug 12, 2019

I am working in Articulate Storyline 360. I have set up 5 Visited steps, and after all have been visited, a Continue button is supposed to appear. I set the Continue button as hidden and the trigger is that all 5 objects must be Visited before the Continue button returns to its Normal State. When I click on each of the objects, we are brought to a new slide. When the user clicks the Next button, the Visited state appears on that object in the original slide and the user continues through the other 4.

My problem is that the Continue button goes to its Normal state on the 2nd to last click on the objects, not on the return of the last object click.

I've tried everything that I can think of. HELP!

Hi Nora,

Can you upload the file? I think the issue is that the state changes to visited before you want it to. You might need to add one more variable on the last slide. Or perhaps if you control the sequencing correctly, you only need one variable on the last slide that triggers the continue button on the original slide. Without seeing the story file it is difficult to diagnose.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Julie

When I click on each of the objects, we are brought to a new slide. When the user clicks the Next button, the Visited state appears on that object in the original slide and the user continues through the other 4.

I tried to download your file to have a look but you have to give permission so I'm going to take a stab at it unseen.

Is the trigger to change the button to normal:

Change state of Continue button to normal when timeline starts on xx slide on condition that object 1 = visited and object 2 = visited and object 3 = visited and object 4 = visited and object 5 = visited

Hello Nora!

I can see that happening if any of the objects are not included in the trigger, or if there are triggers overlapping each other.

Let's see what you're looking that! If you are comfortable sharing the file with us here, you can use the "Add Attachment" button in this discussion.
