Continuously loop the Spin Animation? (storyline 3)
Oct 19, 2017
Hey all! I'm fairly new to building in Storyline after converting from Captivate. Love it so far. I'm building a course that requires a rotating image that will simply continue to rotate until the user takes an action via the spin entrance animation. I've got the slow rotation (in different states, as built in this thread: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/making-an-item-spin-on-a-central-axis )
And I've got a custom hover state and lightbox in another layer that appears upon clicking the object. I just can't figure out how to loop that image, short of looping the entire slide upon slide completion (I would prefer to find a more elegant solution). I know you can loop a motion path, but the entrance and exit animations of an object are not selectable in actions. Thoughts?

You might try two copies of the object that set state to hidden when entrance animation finishes and set state to normal when the other entrance animation ends.
Following Walt suggestion...have a look to the file
Thanks, Stefano for sharing a new idea here! Although this discussion is a bit older, it may help someone else who comes across it.
Thanks for including the example in your reply, Stefano. I didn't know animations could work that way. It was helpful!
Thanks for this. A huge help
This is fantastic! Thank you!
Thank you. This helps a lot.
Awesome Stefano - way to HACK! I wish Articulate would just make it a feature like powerpoint or just an easy trigger to repeat (loop). I accomplished without a copy of object. I adjusted your triggers to repeat.
Thanks Stefano - you saved me time in trial and error - mostly error. :)
