Control the time of retention of a user's progress.

Is it possible to control the time of retention of a user's progress on a module? To clarify, when a user stops going through the module and returns to the module two days later, a prompt asks "would you like to resume where you left of?" We are trying to allow users 60 days before the module erases all progress.
