Controlling audio files

Apr 04, 2013

Hello.

I've attached a sample slide which I'm looking to improve. At the moment I've set it up so that when a user clicks on an image the assoiciated audio file plays. That works fine. I then want users to drag the image to the correct drop area. However when users click the image again obviously the audio file plays again. It makes the process a little 'messy'. Is there any way of changing this so that it only plays the once? I'm also happy to listen to any other suggestions as to how to improve this slide.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Paolo!

You should be able to accomplish this by creating either a True/False or Number variable.

For example, I added a Number variable called "RabbitClicked" and set the default value to "0". I added a trigger to +add 1 to that variable when the rabbit is clicked.

I used the same trigger you have to play the sound when the rabbit is clicked, but I added a condition to only play the sound when the variable still equals "0".

Here's how I set it up:

I'm also attaching a modified version of your original files, just in case you want to try it out with the changes I made.

Let me know if this works for you.

Thanks!
