I just went to the Storyline class at DevLearn working with variables so I thought I would give this a try. There is probably a more elegant solution! I used numeric variables for the character and then had the value of the variable increase or decrease depending upon the participant's response. Here is a link to the output. I'm attaching the source file. I'd love to hear some feedback or learn a better way to do this!
By the way, I thought it could be cool to have the expression of the character change if she moved backwards but I couldn't figure that one out. Since the numeric variable determined if she was in the normal or hidden state, I couldn't figure out how to also trigger a visited state. Anyone?
Not currently possible to set an absolute location using triggers or variables. You could probably fake it using cleverly setup states / layers / animations and triggers as Heather has done.
I think this would make a great feature request! You might want to consider submitting as a new feature.
Sure! I attached it to the first post but I'm attaching it again here. Let me know if you can't see it and I can figure out another way to get it to you.
