I have a screen recording in my course. As the user clicks on the screen while the recording is running, it stops. If clicked again , the recording starts where left off. How do I set it up so that the user cannot stop the recording in the middle? Please help!
Is the recording a single video? By default, I believe clicking on the video will either pause or play it. You could try placing a transparent object over the video (make sure it covers it entirely) so the user can't click on it to pause it. Would that work for you?
Thanks for your reply, as always! Ummm, it does not seem to be working though. I drew a transparent rectangle and placed it on top of the video but that does not seem to change the video's default behavior. Any thoughts?
Make sure the shape is at the top of the timeline (you can right-click and select "Bring to Front"). If you'd like to share the .STORY here with the video slide, I'd be happy to take a look and see if I can get it working
I got it working! The reason why it did not work first was I had chosen "No Fill" for the fill color of the rectangle I drew. Once I put in a color and changed the Transparency rate up to 100% in the "Format Shape" box, it worked like a charm! I learned that there is a difference between "No Fill" and "Transparent 100%". Your kind offer to take a look at my course prompted me to do through research before sharing it with you to make sure that it is not something stupid that I could be overlooking and that lead to the resolution of this issue. Thanks, Christine!!

Hi Jin,
Awesome!
Very happy to hear that! Thanks very much for the update, too. I appreciate it.
Good luck with the project and have a great day!
