I'd like to preface this by saying I feel pretty dumb that I can't figure this out. Is there any way to convert a storyline file into a video by publishing without doing a screen recording? Ideally, the file would be a .mov or MP4.
It's a question we've seen a few times in the forums, and as Walt mentioned there isn't a way to have Storyline publish directly to an MP4 or video file, but there are a few ways that you could look at creating the MP4. First, you could open a second instance of Storyline and conduct a screen recording of your course in preview or publish. Once you do that, the video on a single slide option will have the ability to export as detailed here. The second option, if you have Articulate Replay, you could do the same thing in terms of screen recording the Storyline course in preview or publish, and Replay will publish directly to an MP4.
Came in here to see if there were any new workarounds for creating videos. We're not looking to make a video out of the entire presentation (phew), but rather a snippet to use in a presentation.
I'll likely go the Replay route and add the audio back.
Glad the Replay method will work for you - there isn't a change to the overall behavior of publishing to a single MP4 or video file, so that's our continued recommendation.

Afraid not.

Hope that helps!
