I'm not familiar with Common Cartridge, and reviewing some of the FAQs I wasn't clear what file format it would be accessible in? You may want to look here in regards to how you'd import content into Storyline such as powerpoint.
Also, if the course is published somewhere and you only have access to the published content, you could look into inserting it into Storyline as a web object.
