Cooliris Help

Has anyone had any experience in embedding
a "Cooliris" 3-D wall into Storyline?
It seems that it works just about everywhere
on the Net now, including social sites, Wordpress,
and websites.
But is there a way to somehow embed it
within Storyline? It would be "very cool" if we could.
Here's the link to it...

Thanks in advance for the help!

I didn't find a sample on their site that I could try, but you should be able to insert this into a Storyline web object.
Actually, I just found an example gallery on their site and did a quick test with a Storyline web object, see here.
Thanks Michael!
I've inserted lots of things...but have never even thought
to do a "web object."
A few more questions...
1. Did you just insert the "code" that was generated
from the Cooliris example? Is that all there is to it?
2. When you insert a "web object"...is it only viewable
by those who are online...or does it actually become
"part of" the Storyline module itself?
3. If I want it to fill the entire screen, do I just select "display in a new browser window"?
And when the person viewing it clicks out of it...are they right back in the Storyline
module where they started?
Thanks again for the help.
It is much appreciated.
Hi Rand,
1. I don't have a Cooliris account, so I just grabbed the HTML code from a sample I found on their site, added it to an HTML page and then linked the Storyline web object to that page. I assume that a registered user would not need to jump through these hoops
2. A web object that links to a URL (like in my example) does require web access. I don't know if as a registered user you'd have the option to download your "wall". If yes, then it may work 'offline' as well.
3. There is a fullscreen button in the lower right and it may be possible to set the embed code so that the wall starts in fullscreen mode.
Not sure if that helps at all.
Thanks again Michael.
Wasn't sure if a Storyline "Web object"...was always something that Storyline
connected to "outside of itself"...or if it reached out to something on the web...
and "pulled it in", making it a "part" of the learning module.
I see from your reply that it is the former...a person utilizing my elearning
course would have to be "online." That's good to know!
Hey Rand,
That's not true You can direct a Web Object toward a URL or suck in a folder locally. This becomes a part of your Storyline output. It would run from a CD if you published it that way. All of the files are carried along with the published output. No web connection required unless your web object is a URL.
Clarification - to make a web object part of the published output, your files need to be in a local folder. SL won't go out to the web and harvest a collection of files for local playback.
