Hello. When I copy a shape, such as a highlight box, the copied shape loses its formatting. This includes outline width and things of that nature. This means I have to reapply the formatting each time. Is this supposed to be the normal behavior in SL2?
I just tried this myself, and I can copy and paste a shape with formatting in one slide, on a new slide and even into a new project. So I'm not able to replicate what you're describing. Could you tell us the steps you're going through to see this behavior? Also, what update of Storyline are you using? Update 2 was released recently.
Thanks Ashley. I do have SL2, Update 2 installed. This happens when I import a project from Power Point, and then do copy/paste on objects, such as lines or other shapes. I have noticed it happens with the outline formatting on these things.
Line width and outlining is one of the things mentioned here that may not match exactly from Powerpoint to Storyline. If you are having more difficulty than what is detailed there, do you have a powerpoint file you could share with us?
I am having the same issue but with SL3 to SL3 instead of PowerPoint to SL2 like the previous comment.
I am trying to take a scene from one project and create a new project with just that scene. The scene is originally formatted with a color scheme to look like picture #1. However, when I copy and past the scene into a new blank project it looks like picture #2. This would require me to edit each individual slide.
Is there any way to keep formatting and color scheme?

Well, no, I did not know that. That is probably how my formatting got off. Good to know!
That's what we're here for Dave. ;-)
Glad I could help point you in the right direction.

Don't copy and paste. Open a new project, and import from the old one.
Ah.... thank you!
