I am wondering if it is possible to copy the triggers on a base layer slide to the layers? I have quite a complex animation and I don't want to have to reprogram!
There are a couple of options that should work and achieve what you are after:
1. Create a new layer, select the components on your base layer that you wish to copy over (i.e. those that form part of your animation) and then copy and paste them to your new layer. The items should copy over and take a copy of their associated triggers with them.
2. Duplicate the base layer and then delete anything from the new layer that you don't want to include on it. (to duplicate a layer, select the layer and the select the Duplicate Selected Layer option next to the dustbin/trashcan in the bottom right corner of your screen)
Hope this helps and, more importantly, works !! :)
I have the same problem. Unfortunately, copying everything on the source layer and pasting it does not bring across triggers that are based on timelines. It also does not copy over Javascript.
I'm not sure why you're hitting this snag! When copying a trigger from a base layer to another layer, it should copy the JavaScript and change the trigger to say "timeline on this layer". This is what it looks like on my end. Can you let me know if you see something different?
