I have just created a calculator, it has quite a lot of variables and triggers. I have one calculate button and one reset button for it. Can I copy this calculator to a layer, change some constants and create another calculator?
Do you think I should consider renaming all the variables. I duplicated the base layer and the calculator did not work, I tried to rename one set of the variables and that worked.
I don't know, I cannot see your file so do not know how it is set up. It is possible duplicating the layer is duplicating a textfield that will need renaming

you can duplicate the base layer as a layer
Phil, what I did was...
I created a layer, copied the cells and the two buttons and pasted on the layer. It did not work - The calculator did not calculate.
Then, I duplicated the calculate button, cut and pasted it on the layer, copied the cells created for input and output. It did not work.
There is something I am missing, what would that be?
you could just click on the base layer and choose duplicate layer
