CORNERSTONE vs STORYLINE 2 (Tracking issues)
May 05, 2017
Hello everyone.
I would like to raise a problem that we have detected and which we have not been able to solve.
We have content developed with Articulate Storyline (SCORM 1.2). These courses consist of a theoretical part and a final quiz that is necesary to overcome (attempts are unlimited to approve). The fact is that there are people who, despite having completed the course and passed the test (that is shown on the final screen), the content does not send the score and status to Cornerstone, so the status is always : "In progress".
We believe that it is something related to the moment in which the information is sent to the LMS but we can not solve the problem.
Please, does anyone know of any solutions? Has anyone experienced the same issue and been able to fix it?
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards.

We are switchingg to CSOD so I am going to follow this thread.
Hi Francisco,
Are you tracking completion based on number of slides viewed? If you're tracking this way, sometimes SL2 doesn't count one slide as "viewed" if the user hit next too fast.
Do you have any optional slide or lightbox? Perhaps those users haven't viewed that slides.
Both situations are in the SL2 side, they can happen in any LMS.
I hope it helps
Hi Francisco,
One idea may be try running the course after enabling LMS debug mode. Then you'll be able to actually see the data being passed back and forth to Cornerstone and determine where the "completion" status is getting caught up.
Let us know if that helps!
Thank you Ashley.
I will follow your advice.
I will tell you something.
Once again... Thank you so much
Hi Francisco,
I sent a reply 2 days ago but seems that there was an error and if has been "flagged". I will try again:

You might try publishing as SCORM 2004 3rd edition as that is what CSOD recommends. Plus that will enable better SCORM reporting on your quiz.
Hi Ashley,
My replys are getting flagged... Is there anything wrong with them?

Hi Emilio,
Sorry about the posts getting flagged - we've got everything cleaned up now on our end, but you do have two E-Learning Heroes accounts. Although we can't merge them - we can look at deleting one if you'd like - it will delete and remove any content you've posted though, so we'll want to be cautious with that.
Let us know if you want to take a look at that by starting a Support case!
Hello Emilio,
I have just read your post. Thank you for the suggestion. I am on it and tell you something.
Kind regards.
