I'm new to Storyline and have only done some corrections/updates to existing learning modules. I have a very large module that requires corrections to a software simulation. I would like to record only the portion that needs to be corrected and replace the old screencasts with the revised - I'm hoping to not have to recreate all of the layers on the existing slides. I'm also have trouble trying to insert the new recording. It seems to reorder everything. Is there a way to accomplish what I'm trying to do without having to completely recreate all of the slides for the entire simulation?
Hello Maureen! Yes, you can re-record the only portions that need a correction (you don't need to re-record the whole thing). I would make sure the new recording is inserted into a new scene, not the original scene with the screen recording slides. Then in Story View, click and drag slides from the new scene into the correct place in the original scene. Your slide numbers should re-order themselves accordingly.
