Hi. I've looked around, and found various posts on counters for time or math or clicks, but not for what I'm trying to do. So, I'm not sure it's possible.
What I want to do is count the number of times a person visits a particular slide. So, they view it the first time, = 1 visit. They go away, and if/when they come back to the slide, +1 = 2 visits, and so on.
Hi Gordon, a slide counter is easy enough to do (and it sounds like you've already come up with your own solution). I am curious though, what you would use these counters for. Do you intend to save the counters somewhere? What's the application here?
Michael, here is a thread where I explain the whole situation, and lay out what I came up with as a solution. I actually needed to do a loop or cycle of sorts, and I realized that if I could do a counter which I could then reset at some point, then I might be able to do what I wanted it to do.
Gordon, thanks for the clarification, now I get it! I like the idea of presenting different content based on the number of slide visits. I can' t of a better way to do a slide visit counter.

I'm thinking of something like a layer that adds 1 to the value every time the timeline starts, but is not reset. Would that work?

Out of curiosity, do you have another way of doing a slide counter? I'm talking specifically about counting the number of views/visits.
