Coure running slow on SABA LMS

We have developed the course using Articulate Storyline 2 and published the course in SCORM 1.2. When we test the course on SCORM Clound the response time of loading the frames is 1-2 seconds, but when we test the course on SABA LMS, the response time for loading the frames is 20-30 seconds.
There are 2 videos in the course and we have optimized the videos as well, but still it is taking longer time to load on SABA LMS.
Have anybody faced the similar issue with SABA LMS and can provide any solution that will be great.

Hello there Sharad!
Since you are seeing a slower response time in SABA but not in SCORM Cloud, I would recommend that you reach out to SABA support for assistance with this issue. We do have several SABA users in this community, so hopefully they will be able to chime in and share their experience, as well!
Hi, Sharad,
Sometimes Saba is relatively fast and sometimes it's slooooooooow. Based on my experience, the timing is quite dependent on the number of users hitting the system at a given time. And it definitely takes a while to load videos. The advice I received (and that I follow) is to avoid having a video on the first few slides, because the course preloads slide by slide.
If the course needs to start with a video, it helps to put a few extraneous slides at the beginning. Keep those simple, with no nav buttons (i.e., turn off NEXT and PREV); just have them auto-advance after 5 seconds or so. They can say "Course is loading..." or something like that, so the learners know that something is happening. Yes, this might seem like "wasting" 20-30 seconds, but it's better to use up that time at the start of the course if it helps the rest of the course run more smoothly.
Good luck!
Thanks everyone. We checked the number of times the files are getting loaded using Fiddler and were able to figure out that there are multiple files (as many as about 3000 files) getting loaded every time we move to a new screen. Saba does not seem to load anything from cache. Is there a way we can restrict the number of files getting loaded? This might help improve performance.
Thanks.
Hi Sharad,
There isn't a way to change how the files are loaded within Storyline, but that seems like a lot of files to be loading on each new screen. Are you able to determine what the files are?
Do you have anyone at Saba that you can reach out to for assistance about this loading issue?
Thanks for your quick reply Ashley.
The scenario is slightly different, course is calling same file/object multiple times. (see attached)
I checked the playback of your content using Fiddler. While our content has about 300 SWF files (Flash video), for whatever reason, it is being loaded by the course again and again for more than 2900 times.
Thanks Sharad for the image - I can definitely see the file loading multiple times as you indicated, but since it happens exclusively in Saba I am at a loss for other ideas on how to resolve this.
I hope that the community here or the folks at Saba are able to pinpoint a cause or issue to help you ensure that courses will load smoothly and quickly for your users!
