Course audio not working on iOS 12.2 device

Hello:

We have come across an issue where an existing course built in Storyline 3, working in LMS from almost a year, suddenly went mute on iOS devices. On checking further, it is noticed to be a trend that audio does not play when a course is opened in Safari on an iOS 12.2 device.

Please share if anyone else has faced the issue. I would appreciate any suggested work around.

Hi Vageesh, 

Apple changed the way audio and video work in Safari, so they might not autoplay in Storyline  courses when using Safari 11+, and this is especially true within mobile devices. You'll find some more details and solutions outlined here.

Also within the iPhone and iPad, you'll want to make sure the side volume toggle is on, as if it's set to off/mute that'll also apply to audio on a site hosting a Storyline course.
