I can not seem to have my LMS track
the completion by number of slides. It will say the course is complete
by status, but the grade is incomplete and 0. I have been able to make
it work before with the track by slides method, however lately its not
working anymore, and i can't figure out why.
And just to confirm, you get the same results when you test your course in SCORM Cloud? That will help us determine if the issue is Articulate-related or if it's on your LMS's side.
If it appears in SCORM Cloud as well, we'd be happy to take a closer look at what might be going on. If you can't replicate the issue in SCORM Cloud, it's probably an issue that you'd want to take to your LMS team.
I was able to publish this to SCORM Cloud and it ran just fine, seems I may an LMS bug. I have them working on the issue, just wondering if anyone has run into this same issue and if there was a possible solution.
I think I have a similar problem. Here a brief description:
I created a course publishing it as LMS for which I would like to monitore the number of slides viewed. The course has about 100 slides (any of them are lightboxes) and the course could be considered "passed" when at least a certain number of them are viewed (let's say 40 for example). Just for additional info in the course there is also a quiz but the client doesn't want the evaluation on it as there is an extra quiz outside of the course.
for publishing my course. My output options are LMS=SCORM 1.2, in Reporting LMS Reporting I choosed Option "Passed/Incomplete" and in Tracking Options I selected Track using number of slides viewd 40 of 108.
I use as LMS Moodle 1.9 and the result after uploaded the course is the one you can see in the picture below. Status=Passed but grade alway 0!!!
Moodle 1.9 was released over 6 years ago and is no longer supported - SCORM in earlier versions of the Moodle 1.9 branch didn't work well at all - Moodle does have a grading option called "Learning objects" that you should be using but it may not function correctly depending on which version of 1.9 you are actually running.
... I know about 1.9. At the moment we have 2 versions (1.9.6 and 1.9.3) I tested your suggestion of grading option "Learning objects" on 1.9.3 and it worked fine. I will test it on 1.9.6 as well.

Hey Chris,
Looks like Bruce just replied to your other post here.
Hope that helps...
This is my response after that attempt: It will complete, but my grade is still not fixed.
Thanks, Chris.

Thanks, Chris. Hopefully someone will be able to help out. Keep us updated on what you hear from the LMS team...
Just curious, what LMS are you using? Someone using it may have some experience to share.

Hi all,

I followed the instruction detailed in http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/publishing-a-project-for-lms.aspx.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this issue?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Have a nice weekend.

Hi Silvia,
I know Pete mentioned this earlier, but have you tested your course in SCORM Cloud?
This would help us determine if the issue is Articulate related or if it's on your LMS's side.
If you have tested outside of the LMS, what were the results?
Thanks!

Hi Dan, Hi Chirstine,
thanks to both of you.

Hi Dan and Silvia,
Dan - thanks for providing that information and suggestion.
Silvia - let us know how that goes on your end. Hopefully that will help :)
I hope you both have a great day,
Christine
Silvia, in Moodle make sure that when setting your SCORM Lesson you enable Force completion for full compatibility.
This is a screenshot from our italian version of Moodle; in english, you shoud set the FORCECOMPLETION parameter to YES.
Hope it helps
Thanks for sharing that information, Stefano! :)
