Course is not loading in Firefox

May 10, 2018

Hi Articulate team,

I'm facing issue with my web published courses on Firefox. I'm using Articulate Storyline 360 (latest update). The courses are inside of an iframe (don't know does this has to do something with the issue I'm facing). I just keep getting infinite load when trying to play the course.

I came across this discussion where Brandon reported the same issue. But the discussion didn't have any final conclusion about the issue.

Have you faced something similar before. Is there some fix that I could apply so I get my courses working in Firefox?

Thanks in advance,

Mirna

Hi Mirna,

Sorry to hear that you're having difficulty getting your Storyline 360 project to play in Firefox.

Curious how you are publishing and sharing your content when you experience this error, as I know Brandon was using a web server.

Do you experience a similar issue when you upload the content to Tempshare for testing?

If so, we would certainly want to take a look and you can share your .story file in your Forum Reply if you'd like.

Hi Leslie,

We are publishing for Web - HTML5 with Flash fallback. We are uploading our courses to our server and loading them through an iframe on our site. When checking our content on Tempshare everything works fine.

I've done a thorough research on this issue and found exact same issue reported on E-learning heroes - this discussion. But this issue was resolved with Storyline 3 update. In our case we are facing the same issue with Storyline 360 publish.

Don't know did someone from Articulate team worked on that issue resolution for Storyline 3.

Hi Mirna, and thanks for the additional information.  Storyline 360 will include any of the bug fixes that are found in Storyline 3.  Generally those fixes are first released in 360.

Would you be able to share your .story file?  We have another testing site that we can use for your content.  If we need to have a closer look at any errors happening in the browser in your server environment, our support team can try to help!  You can share the file with us privately here.

Hi Crystal,

Thanks for replying.

I can share my .story file but it will not help you much - I've tried to work with test course with just empty 2 slides and Next button and upload it to our server and view on site and it didn't worked. I've faced the same issue with infinite load and error message in Firefox Inspector - refer: https://imgur.com/a/7Vrksbe . Apparently there are issues with app.min.js file connected to the Bootstrap 3.- modal windows on Firefox (as stated in the discussion I shared above).
