Course marking completion in Saba before completion criteria is fulfilled.

Nov 12, 2020

Hi community

I have a case #02515445 logged for this, but thought I'd share my experiences in case it is not isolated.

We are having issues with Saba where our course is showing as completed when exiting the module partway through. I have tested in Scormcloud and it behaves as expected (marks complete when the assessment is completed, but not when exiting partway through).
We had a meeting with the LMS provider and could not solve the issue to date, even though an earlier version of the module behaves as expected.

I suspected that it has something to do with the new reporting functions not communicating to Saba, as that is the only thing that has changed.

FYI publishing in 20o4, 3rd edition (also tried 4th edition), passed/incomplete with multiple completion: assessment + trigger on final slide (as some learners will not have to complete the assessment). Have combed the module to make sure there is no other complete course trigger.

We need to publish in 2004 as we need to be able to pull question-level reporting and scorm 1.2 does not allow for that. The LMS provider has ticked the 'relax 2004 standard behaviour' option as it would not complete at all prior to that, though neither parties seem to fully understand the implications of that, or whether that is causing the issue (that was ticked on the previous version also).

Interested in hearing if anyone else is having similar issues, and praying for a solution! Apologies I cannot share the file but could share screenshots of any settings if it helps.

Thanks

Russell
