Course not marking complete in Cornerstone

Jun 06, 2018

Hi everyone,

I've combed through posts about Cornerstone but can't seem to find an issue in my course. It's based on completion via number of slides. We've tried the total number of slides, as well as 28 of 29, but we cannot get the course to mark complete. There is a gamification element of collecting coins but it has no bearing on the completion of the course. We've also tried changing the reporting status from Passed/Failed to Complete/Incomplete, etc. Anyone have any thoughts? We have a hard time with our LMS, but I can't think of anything that makes sense to change. Thanks!

Hi Amanda! Thanks for sharing your published file with me. By the way, I love the gamification element you added to this course. I enjoyed going through it!

I tested the course in SCORM Cloud, and the completion status was correctly reported.

Could you also test this link and let me know if the completion status works for you, as well?

Hi Stephanie,

Thanks for letting us know what you are experiencing in your course.

Are you able to replicate this issue in SCORM Cloud or is it limited to your LMS?

With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Hello. Is it best practice guidance to set completion via number of slides on less than the total? I also use Cornerstone. I have been told this is a workaround for issues when Completions are incorrectly being marked. However, I've also been told a workaround is the sequence of triggers - such as a trigger to send a status and then a trigger to close a browser on the last screen.
