Courses wont play after Flash 27 update

We received the Adobe 0-day update to Flash 27 and since then our Storyline 2 content won't play in IE11. We've been told to use Chrome but we have several hundred sites that don't have it and it's not an option for them to install. We are running in a Windows 7 environment. 

Has anyone else experienced issues and if so what was your solution? Other than the Chrome option the only one that sounds viable to me is to put our LMS in a Citrix environment. One instance to maintain and if we need to run an older version of Flash it's contained.

Hi there, Kelly.  We tested a Storyline 2 course in IE 11 in Windows 7, and Windows 10, both with Flash Player 27 installed, and we were able to progress through the course without issue.

Can you check your version of Storyline 2?  Go to any project and choose Help > About Articulate Storyline.  You should see your version.  The latest version is Update 12.  You may need to republish that course and upload the new version to your site.

I should have added one more detail. The content may start to play but after an indeterminate but brief period of time we get an error that says that content has been identified as malfunctioning or malicious. Based on your reply it sounds like it may not be an issue with Flash then but with our security software. We're using Update 11. I'll ask our content manager about Update 12.

Hi Kelly,

Have you also looked at adding the hosting site as a trusted site within your IE settings? If you'd like we could also test your link or content by publishing in Storyline 2 Update 12, and uploading to a test site to see if that behaves the same on your end. That would help narrow down where the issue is.

Hi Ashley. Because of the timing we assumed the Storyline issue was Flash related. That is still suspect but per your suggestion we upgraded to Update 12 and now Storyline is working. Now to resolve the content issue. The manager is wrapping up a course and when she has it published we'll take it for a drive.
